All the modern electronic computer systems understand only the binary format (also known as Base-2) which has only two possible values - 0(OFF) and 1(ON). In contrast, the Hexadecimal number system(also known as Base-16) has sixteen possible values for each digit - 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F.
